Tyler Chen, the protégé and drum tech of legendary drummer Kirk Arrington of Metal Church, is best known for his hard-hitting drumming and powerful backup vocals with the critically acclaimed bands Silversafe and The Slants. Tyler has performed across the globe, sharing the stage with groups such as Puddle of Mudd, Saliva, Powerman 5000, Hurt, The Exies, Nonpoint, Metal Church and A Change of Pace, and received high praise for his drumming, songwriting and audio engineering work from renowned producer/engineer George Massenburg (James Taylor, Billy Joel, Journey, Kenny Loggins, Linda Ronstadt, Earth, Wind & Fire).

Less commonly known is that Tyler balances his music career with freelance work in numerous other disciplines that he is passionate about. Even while he is on tour, Tyler works tirelessly for his clients, building websites, designing graphics, editing songs, producing videos, offering consultations and other services listed on his services page. Tyler also offers personalized instruction in several areas, and enjoys teaching his clients skills so that they can “DIY” their next project!
